Your dashboard & widgets
Your dashboard is the grid you see on every new tab. Each panel is a widget. You decide which show and how they're arranged.
The top bar
- Left: the BGP logo (hover it to see your version) and the name.
- Center: a chevron (^) that hides or shows all widgets in one click.
- Right: the microphone (hold to speak a command), refresh background, Organize, help (?), the sync dot (see below), and Settings (gear).
The sync dot: grey means sync is off, green means synced, amber means syncing, red means something needs attention. Click it to sync now. If sync isn't set up yet, it opens the setup. See Sync across your devices.

Each has its own article in the Widgets section.
Turn widgets on or off
- Open Settings → Select Dashboard Widgets.
- Click any row to toggle it. Changes appear on your open tabs right away.
Widgets that are off don't load data or take up space. Some start off (Important Accounts, YouTube). Turn them on when you want them.
Rearrange widgets (Organize mode)
- Click Organize (the grid icon) in the top-right.
- Drag widgets into the order you want.
- Set each widget's width (1 column, 2, or full) and height (⅓, ½, 1, 2 or 3).
- Click the checkmark to save.
Half and third heights tile neatly, so two halves stack to the height of one standard widget beside them.
Make it yours
In Settings → Appearance, choose BGP artwork (the default), Unsplash photos, your own photos, or a solid color for the background. You can also choose an accent color, 3 or 4 columns, and whether widgets fade when you're idle.
Good to know
- Lists have grippers. Hover a row in Tasks, Notes, Habits or a project card and a six-dot grip appears on the left. Drag it to reorder.
- Your layout and widget choices are saved automatically and, with Quick sync on, follow you to your other Chrome browsers.
- After sync brings in changes, widgets update without a reload.
