Install BGP DNA Mission Control (Chrome extension)

The extension puts the BGP dashboard on your new-tab page. Open a new tab and your widgets are right there. It's free, takes about a minute, and needs no account.

Install it

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store page: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/jlkdeadghaapinjfkijojoilgonegalk
  2. Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
  3. Open a new tab. Your dashboard appears with sample content already in place.
  4. Follow the short welcome. The second screen connects a free AI engine (see Connect AI). You can skip it, but most smart features stay off until you do.

Works in: Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers. It replaces your new-tab page (Chrome will show a notice about that the first time. That's expected).

Good to know

  • It works on its own. Nothing else to install. The Mac app and BGP DNA Anywhere are optional extras.
  • Your data stays on your device. There's no BGP account and no BGP server.
  • The version you're on shows when you hover the BGP logo, top-left of the dashboard.
  • Several Chrome profiles? The extension lives in the profile you installed it in. If a new tab doesn't show the dashboard, check your avatar in the top-right of Chrome.

Troubleshooting

My new tab isn't the BGP dashboard.

  • Another extension may own the new-tab page. Turn that one off, or open chrome://extensions and make sure BGP is enabled.
  • Check you're in the right Chrome profile.

I just updated the extension and something looks old.

  • Close the tab and open a fresh new tab. A tab that was already open keeps running the old version until you do.

The dashboard is empty.

  • Open Settings → Select Dashboard Widgets and turn on the ones you want. If you reset all data, the sample content comes back on the next new tab.
