Belief Genome Project

Answering student probes

Use the Student Portal slider to record how true or false a statement feels to you. There is no preferred answer.

Use the slider

Open Answer probes after signing in.

  • Move left toward red if you lean false or do not support the statement.
  • Move right toward blue if you lean true or support it.
  • The green middle represents an uncommitted position.
  • Read the position label above the slider, then choose Submit & Next.
  • Choose Skip if you do not want to answer.

The moving triangle is a visual animation. It does not move your selected answer or submit a response. The white thumb shows your selection. The animation stops when your device requests reduced motion.

Keyboard controls

Use the left and right arrow keys to adjust the answer. Press Enter to submit or S to skip.

Some probes look at the same belief from different angles. Questions are mixed so these statements are not routinely served together. Near the end of the available questions, or when focusing on one dimension, related statements can appear closer together.

Answer each statement as you understand it now. You do not need to remember or match an earlier response.

Understanding progress

The bank contains 1,488 probes across 124 dimensions. Answer counts and dimension coverage describe how much you have explored. They are not a grade.

Coherence measures consistency across related responses. A skipped question does not become a false answer and does not complete a coherence measurement. Early results may be incomplete.
