Mac app troubleshooting

"App can't be opened" on first launch.

  • Right-click the app → Open → Open. One time only. Don't run it from inside the .dmg window. Move it to Applications or any folder first.

The app icon looks generic or wrong in the Dock.

  • macOS caches icons. Drag the app out of Applications and back, or restart the Dock (Activity Monitor → Dock → Quit). It restarts itself.

Gmail shows "Reconnect required."

  • Click it and sign in again. Google expires sign-ins from time to time.

An agent run failed.

  • Open the run in run history. The failed step shows the reason. Most common: a missing AI key (Settings → AI API Keys → Test) or Google not connected for an email step.

An Important Dates email didn't send.

  • Google must be connected on the Mac and the app running on the day. Use Send test now in the date's editor to check.

The extension's "Import from desktop app" can't reach the Mac app.

  • The Mac app must be running. If it says "older version," update the app.

Where did my data go?

  • Nothing leaves your Mac. Settings → Export makes a file you can keep or move.
