Important Dates with email reminders (Mac app)
On the Mac, an Important Date can send an email on the day with a personal note to the person, not just a calendar ping.
Set one up
- In the Important Dates widget, click + and add the title, date and type. Tick Repeats annually for birthdays and anniversaries.
- Click the pencil to open the editor and scroll to Email Reminder.
- Write the message, add the recipient's address, and save.
- Use Send test now to check it lands. Emails send through your connected Gmail.
Good to know
- Reminders need Google connected on the Mac (see Integrations) and the app running on the day.
- The Chrome extension does reminders differently: it can add each date to your phone's calendar instead. See Productivity widgets.
