Settings & your data (Mac app)
Open Settings with the gear at the bottom of the sidebar.
The sections, briefly
- Profile: your display name, avatar, time zone, default AI model.
- Dashboard: background source, photo credit, idle fade, reset layout.
- AI API Keys: one field per provider, each with a Test button.
- Email Integration: Google and Microsoft.
- Belief Genome: probe options, including probes based on the news.
- Widgets: which widgets show.
- Export / Import: save your settings and data to a file, or bring them back.
Where your data lives
Everything is on your Mac: your settings file in your Documents folder
(mission-control-config.json) and the app's data folder for media, transcripts and belief
data. No BGP server, no account.
Moving to the Chrome extension
With the Mac app running, the extension can import your projects, tasks, notes, bookmarks, dates, countdowns, habits and belief responses in one click. See Import from the Mac app.
Starting over
Settings → Export / Import → Reset clears the app's data. Export first.
